Gap Analysis

A scored read of where your program actually sits against all 14 elements, before anyone spends money on fixing it.

Why the assessment comes first

Two contractors with the same headcount can be a year apart in audit readiness. One has an established program with real records behind it; the other has a policy document and little else. The gap analysis establishes which one you are before any money is spent on development.

The assessment is a conversation of about 45 minutes, by phone or video, and the written report that follows is yours to keep. There is no charge and no obligation.

If the report shows you are closer than expected and your own team can finish the work, we will say so.

What you receive

  • A scored breakdown of your program against each of the 14 COR elements
  • The elements you would currently fail, and why
  • What closing each gap involves, in practical terms
  • A realistic timeline based on your starting point
Scope of the review

What we look at

Your written program

Policy, procedures, forms and the training matrix. What exists, how current it is, and whether it reflects the work you actually do.

Your records

Inspections, toolbox talks, training certificates and corrective actions. The audit is scored on evidence, and records cannot be backdated honestly.

Your people

Who could serve as internal auditor, and whether management and crews are prepared for the obligations the program places on them.

Your deadline

Which buyers are asking, when the tender closes, and whether certification is achievable in that window. Where it is not, we say so.
